JUST ADD DENIM

September 22, 2013

Wearing: Zara - black jeans | Levi's sweater - similar | Similar Forever21 - vest | Vintage Shoe Company - Aubrey Flats

Denim vests are probably one of my all time favorite clothing pieces. They are so versatile and easy to wear yet once you put them on it looks like you have spent hours deciding on your outfit. This denim vest was my mama's during her college years and I have had my eye on it for ages, this summer she finally caved and let me have it (mission accomplished!). Without the vest this outfit would be a bit to plain for my liking but add the denim and voila! I also added my favorite pair of british red oxfords for a pop of color and was ready to take on the world! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and until tomorrow.

Wearing: Thrifted tee - similar | Zara - black jeans | Enzo Angiolini Saharia Boots

I wanted to enjoy wearing chiffon and color a bit more before the weather decides to turn it's back on me and I would have to bundle up in coats and scarfs. So not thinking twice I pulled this thrifted bright yellow blouse over my head, some black skinny's and biker boots and was out the door to enjoy the beautiful wether in Golden Gate park. I hope you all are having a fantastic weekend, I know I am !

MADEN LANE

September 20, 2013

This friday could not have come along any slower than it has so as soon as my last lecture of the day was over I hopped on the 5 bus that took me to the heart of San Francisco for some shopping (which included wondering into a Diptyque Paris shop) , a bite to eat  and a stroll down Maden Lane downtown, which resulted in some photos for you to enjoy. Take a look...

The Diptyque Paris shop had pulled me in by the smell of the candle they had burning at the entrance. After 20 minutes of sniffing the perfume testers and a jar filled with coffee beans interchangeably I had narrowed my favorite scents to  Oyédo and L'Ombre dans l'Eau . And while those were my personal top picks, all of the scents that I had the pleasure to get a whiff of were incredibly pure and clean and it was a good break from the majority of artificial perfumes you can get your hands on in department stores. So if you have a chance, I would highly suggest you stop by your nearest Diptyque shop and give their perfumes a try, you wont be disappointed, especially if you are a Jo Malone lover like myself.

Since I knew that today would involve lots of walking around I settled for a pair of boyfriend jeans, a simple tee, military green oversized blazer and my favorite converse ( they go with everything, it's magic!).

RED BRICK

September 19, 2013

The loud crunch of leaves beneath my foot reminded me that Autumn had set in over San Francisco. I took the beautiful weather outside as an opportunity to wander around the streets of the city that I have never set foot on before. My dear friend Diana and I have eventually stumbled upon a breathtakingly stunning red brick building and out of curiosity decided to take a quick look inside. It ended up being an old middle school that was remarkably eerie yet alive at the same time we did not want to leave.

Wearing: Barcelona FC jersey | Zara skirt (similar) | ASOS blazer | DSW ridding boots

With the nice weather and one of my favorite football/soccer teams winning a match the night before I opted for my beloved Barcelona FC jersey to show off my pride. I then threw own a plain white skirt that I got absolutely ages ago from Zara on sale and to tie it all together some suede riding boots. Having learened my lesson with San Francisco weather in the past I also grabbed a textured blazer as I was heading out the door.

Only one more sleep until Friday! What are your weekend plans?!
